<p>Team Jefferson&#8217;s robotic car, the &#8220;Tommy 2,&#8221; was a joint creation between Virginia students and Charlottesville-based business Perrone Robotics.</p>

<p><span id="more-212"></span>The car is a Scion X5 and has been modified to drive itself. It navigated 60 miles on its own through a city course in Victorville, California.</p>
