WORLD Racing dominates the Dyno Challenge and takes 1st place in Time Attack for FWD at the annual Modified Ultimate Tuner Challenge
WORLD Racing made their way to the second annual Modified Ultimate Tuner Challenge which was held May 23rd and 24th at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona. At an event comprised of both road racing, drag racing, and drifting, there was no surprise when a crowd of over 10,000 showed up. “It was a great weekend for sport compact and motorsports in general,” says Chris Rado, driver for and owner of the WORLD Racing team.

Scion, the “youth brand” of Toyota, has signed on to sponsor the Movement 08 electronic/techno music festival here over Memorial Day weekend. The festival is billed as the largest of its kind in the world and attracts some 45,000 spectators and 70 artists on five stages in the area of Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit.
Scion Regional Manager Julie Hoermle called Movement 08 “a marketer’s dream” since it, like the cars Scion makes, is geared toward Generations X and Y. Rather than mount a traditional car-based display, Scion plans to offer a “lounge” and gaming inside a 20-by-40-foot tent during the event, which takes place May 24-26. Well, there will be a few “strategically placed” cars, Scion says.

What if you’re interested in a new or recently redesigned car model like the 2008 Cadillac STS, Honda Accord, Mercedes C-Class, Nissan Rogue, Saturn VUE, or Scion xB? Should you follow the conventional wisdom that a new car design should be avoided in its first year, and wait for the 2009? Or should you take a chance so you can own the new design while it’s still new?
