ATCO, N.J., April 26-27, 2008 - WORLD Racing crossed the country last week and returned to their home territory of the East Coast to compete in the NOPI New Jersey Nationals at Atco Raceway. Chris Rado and his Pro FWD 2007 SCION tC were in top performance shape and ready to battle.

In the first round of qualifying Saturday, Chris qualified 1st with a 7.32 ET at 196.27 MPH, beating out competitors Marty Ladwig, Gary Gardella, and Jason Hunt - not to mention obtaining the first half of new best national FWD Pro elapsed time.

The WORLD Racing team took this momentum into Sunday’s competition and were ready to dominate the other teams. Unfortunately, the front main seal failed after the burnout and caused oil to leak onto the track, disqualifying the WORLD Racing SCION tC in the first round. This was a new failure for the team, not be mention a blessing that it didn’t occur during the run and oil the tires. “We learned what the problem was fast and made the necessary changes,” says Chris.

This occurrence was definitely disappointing to Chris and the team, who were confident they were going to make history at Atco Raceway. “We had the best half track times all weekend and we backed our numbers up, but it is ET’s that win races,” says Chris.

“There is no doubt it was a successful weekend,” Chris continues. “Especially with the changes we made in the WORLD Racing SCION tC.” The team conquered the boost issues that occurred at Moroso and were able to make enough boost at Atco.

Next weekend Chris Rado and the WORLD Racing team will remain in the Garden State for another thrilling NOPI Drag event, this time at Old Township Raceway in Englishtown, New Jersey. The team plans to put everything on the line to make this event a historical one, so stay tuned for the exciting details.
