Daktronics Inc. recently partnered with Creative Technology (CT) to provide the creative setting for the unveiling of Toyota Scion’s Hako. The March 19th Toyota Scion Press Conference was held at the Javits Convention Center in New York City in conjunction with the 2008 New York International Auto Show.

The vehicle made its debut to vibrant lighting effects, techno music, and over 65 feet of Daktronics PT-4 LED panels. The two PT-4 displays flashed to the beat while presenting live footage, graphics, and company logos to attendees.

“The event was a success. Both CT and event marketing agency George P. Johnson were pleased with the LED display look, short set-up time, overall image, and color matching of the displays to the content,” states Adam Vahl, with Daktronics Video Products Demo Group. “The displays high contrast level and wide viewing angles made it the appropriate choice for the event.”

The Hako Coupe is stunning! Absolutely genius! I am most impressed and deeply hope that this car makes it to the floorroom as-is! Don’t disappoint me. The show cars never make it to the road looking as good as they do in the shows. Break the trend.
