KingCast applauds Toyota/Scion for creating Assy McGee

posted in Scion News |

KingCast applauds Toyota/Scion for creating Assy McGee to honor the true legacy of Franconia PD’s Bruce McKay, a rogue cop to the end.

With Bruce McKay’s sidekick Gregory W. Floyd going to trial tomorrow in what may be his second Criminal Threats conviction (take your cameras per Order of NH Supreme Court, and see Chris Jensen’s NHPR story here), let’s take time to thanks Toyota/Scion Motorcars for creating Assy McGee in the shadow of Bruce McKay. For those of you who don’t know, Bruce McKay was an abusive, rogue cop who according to a lawsuit, threatened with his badge and gun. He spent time and did work Haverhill, NH just due north of the home of elite Dartmouth College.

Assy McGee is an abusive, rogue cop who hails from Exeter, NH, the home of elite Phillips/Exeter Academy. My friend from Hawken School, Todd Oliva, and his wife Robin are ‘83 alumni.

“We love finding innovative and fun ways to increase awareness [of police abuse],” said Scion VP Jack Hollis in a recent statement. As noted in Mike Milliard’s recent Boston Phoenix piece, A cop with an Assitude “Which is not to say that he’s beyond discipline. Like most rogue dicks, Assy is stripped of his badge at the end of nearly every episode — only to be back on the beat the very next week.”
And who does the music for Assy McGee?

None other than Dana Colley, photo taken with him and Monique from last fall’s jam session with A.K.A.C.O.D. at the Alchemist.

Note: Parody in part. The problem is you don’t know where the parody ends and reality starts. Hint: There not much parody in here and it’s my birf-day so I felt like lettin’ this one hang all out there. Jam on, Dana.
