There has been much in the way of speculation about the design of Scion’s new concept, the Hako, which will be revealed today at the New York Auto Show. Apparently some pictures were leaked and quickly removed. They’ll be posted if they can be tracked down prior to the reveal at the show. “Considering that the Fuse was designed with the Hako Super GT cars in mind…”

“I like it. I like what has been done, the design elements work for me. But, I have always appreciated odd looking vehicles. I would say that there are going to be people who hate it and people who think it is alright, and people who run right out trying to reserve one.”

“Seriously, you guys are going to sh!t yourselves when you see the full shot. And after careful consideration, I believe that most people here will not like it. But, a lot of people in the industry are already saying differently. Toyota is already feeling the heat to produce it.”

“And, officially right now, the answer is NO. The Hako is NOT the replacement for the tC. Watch for that later, as we get nearer the production run on the current gen tC.”

“Scion is supposed to keep everything starting under 20k right now. We will have to see where they take it, but I would suspect that we will be seeing pricing in the ranges we have already seen.”

“actually from my sources, Scion is trying to push for at least a 5 car line-up within the next couple of years. i don’t think any website or forum knows of that rumor or anything of the sort yet. “

“Wow i just saw the hako pics some dude posted on his photobucket, and was on SL for a couple minutes then removed and it seems very concept car, and not even close to what i expected, i like it though. i would buy one.
