LONG BEACH, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire/ — An eclectic roster of stars of film, television and sports will strap into brand new race-ready Scion tCs to vie for the checkered flag in the world’s longest-running, most successful celebrity racing event: the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race on Saturday, April 19, part of the 34th annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
The field of 18 is revved up for competition in this historic, 10-lap race for charity on a 1.97-mile street circuit through the downtown streets of Long Beach in Southern California. The Pro/Celebrity race, one of six featured events during race weekend, gives fans a chance to see their favorite stars duke it out on the track during exciting action-packed competition.

In order to better serve humanity and the automotive industry, I hereby now henceforth announce the formation of Vaughn Automotive Consulting LLC. You can call it VACUUM for short.
As a new servant to the industry, I see my role as dispensing truckloads of free advice to individuals and companies that never asked for it. Heck, there are several consulting companies right now that present the industry with fat books of gobbledygook for which they pull in $30,000 per binder. My stuff’s free. Who’s the idiot here?
The first beneficiary of my newfound largesse is Toyota’s vaunted Scion division. If you look at Scion’s sales from the division’s launch in 2003 to, let’s say, yesterday, you will see that they skyrocketed for several years. However, like a skyrocket, Scion has of late run out of fuel and is well past apogee, tending more toward a fiery reentry into Earth’s atmosphere.
